Megan Mullings sets efficiency record, puts SBŠ Ostrava in a win column

SBŠ Ostrava power forward Megan Mullings set a new EWBL efficiency record to lift her team over Šiauliai Vilmers 85-64 on Saturday, November 12, at the historic Daugava sports hall in Rīga, Latvia.

Megan Mullings had an amazing game in a Latvian capital.


Alaska Anchorage standout (2014-2016) scored 27 points and grabbed 19 rebounds in an all around performance.


Mullings added four assists, two steals, two blocks – and not a single turnover – for a league record efficiency rating of 44.


Udominate point guard Tiffany Brown (Georgia South 2008) posted an efficiency rating of 40 on February 26, 2018 in a 95-90 win over Lulea Basket.


Levharti Chomutov forward Najai Pollard (Delaware State 2019) set a new efficiency record of 41 on October 29, 2022, leading her team to a 88-79 win over Neptūnas Klaipeda.



Anacia Wilkinson jumped in with a double-double effort.


Tennessee Tech graduate scored 10 points and grabbed 11 rebounds.



Tereza Motyčakova registered a fine 12 points, six assists and three steals for a efficiency rating of 18.


Eliška Kubičkova had 18 points on 8-of-12 shooting from the field.



Danguole Pupkevičiūte led Šiauliai with 17 points including a perfect 10-of-10 from the free throw line.


A 2022 European U18 champion dished out seven assists and stole the ball three times.


Brigita Rimkevičiūte – another gold medal winner in Heraklion – stepped up with 11 points, five rebounds and three steals for a team high efficiency rating of 18.


Rūta Stiprā had eight points and six rebounds.



Key stats

SBŠ Ostrava dominated in the battle of rebounds 55-37 (offensive rebounds 22-5).


Iveta Raškova`s team scored more points in the paint (42-20) and added a lot of second chance points (17-3).


The Czech team excelled on fast breaks too (20-2), despite the similar numbers in steals (11-10).


Ostrava also improved its shooting percentage from the three point line (10/27 against 10/29).



Šiauliai took a lead after a three pointer by Rimkevičiūte 25-26.


Ostrava replied with a 12-2 run to end the first half with a nine point advantage 37-28.


The Czech team slowly sailed away the rest of the way.



Game notes

SBŠ Ostrava used a 10 player rotation, compared to seven for Šiauliai.


Four Šiauliai players played more than 30 minutes.


Ostrava improved to 1-1.
