Switzerland women`s basketball team qualified for the Women`s EuroBasket for the first time since 1956.

Francois Gomez and his team posted a 4-2 record to finish second in Group H.

There was a three way tie between Montenegro, Switzerland and Luxembourg.

Montenegro secured the first place – and automatic ticket – after a 86-53 home win against Luxembourg.

Switzerland defeated Bosnia, 87-39, to improve its +/- ratio from +10 to +58.

It was enough to secure a Top 4 finish among all second place finishers.

Three Nyon players – Yverline Da Silva, Laure Margot and Indira Vilolo dos Santos – were included in extended roster.

Women`s EuroBasket 2025 will take place in June 19-29 in Brno (Czechia), Hamburg (Germany), Bologna (Italy) and Piraeus/Athens (Greece), with a Greek capital hosting the final round.

The draw will take place at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center in Athens, Greece on March 8.
