Žabiny Brno return to the Final Four

Žabiny Brno dominated the road game against SBŠ Ostrava to post a 82-45 win on Sunday, February 9, at Tatran Hall. Žabiny won the series 153-92 and secured the first ticket to the Final Four.

Michaela Vackova was the best Žabiny scorer. She had 16 points and six points in just 17 minutes for a efficiency rating of 22.

Natalie Stoupalova followed with 13 points and six rebounds.

Michaela Vondrackova scored 12 points, while Justina Matuzonyte and Anezka Kopecka finished with 10 points each.

Sara Dickey chipped in with 14 points for SBŠ Ostrava. Natalie Miklikova added 10 points.

Žabiny Brno are 6-0 against SBŠ Ostrava, inluding 2-0 in Czech league and 2-0 in Central European Women`s league.

The Frogs held Ostrava under 50 points for the second game in a row.

Žabiny Brno won the first half by 20 points and increased the series lead up to 44 points with 20 minutes to go.

Five Žabiny scored in double figures compared to two for Ostrava.

Ostrava finished the season with four wins – four times better than last year.

Žabiny Brno will learn their semifinal opponent on February 12 after the second game between Tsmoki Minsk and Nika Syktyvkar.
