
Jessica Thomas scored the final six points to secure a 71-68 win for TTT Rīga in a tough battle against Nika Syktivkar on Monday, January 25, at Fēnikss Sports hall in Latvian capital.

It was a battle between two Atlantic Coast Conference standouts as Thomas scored her final six points in the last four minutes of the game.
Miami graduate finished with 17 points, including 5-of-6 shooting inside the three point line.
Thomas struggled from downtown and the free point line but dished out seven assists for a tied second best efficiency rating of 13.
Kitija Laksa (South Florida) added 14 points and a game high three steals.
Karlīne Pilābere chipped in with nine points and seven rebounds for a team high efficiency rating of 15.
Ilze Jākobsone also scored nine points with 60% accuracy from the field.
Lindsay Allen scored four of her 13 points in the last three minutes. Notre Dame graduate guarded Thomas and passed the ball to Kiara Leslie in the last possession.
Fellow American missed the last shot to tie the game at 71. North Carolina State standout and a 2019 WNBA champion joined the Komi region team just one week ago.
Alexandra Marchenkova led all scorers with 19 points. Russian National team forward made 3-of-4 three pointers and grabbed 12 rebounds for a game high efficiency rating of 30.
Ekaterina Fedorenkova, another Russian National team candidate, matched Thomas with seven assists but struggled on 1-of-7 shooting from the field.
Maria Cherepanova posted 14 points and eight rebounds.
Key stats
Nika outrebounded TTT 30-44 (offensive rebounds 4-12) and scored more second chance points.
Komi team shared the ball well and led for almost three quarters but struggled inside the paint (28-36).
TTT players made 62% of their two point attempts (18/29) compared to 36% for Nika (16/44).
Riga team turned the ball over just eight times, while Syktyvkar had 14 turnovers. TTT also scored more points off turnovers (15-3).
TTT bench outscored their opponents (25-16).
