The Dragons breathe fire in Vilnius

Tsmoki Minsk started the classification games with a 88-70 road win over Kibirkštis Vilnius on Thursday, February 8 at Mykolas Romeris University.

The Sparks played without their leader Laura Juškaite. She and head coach Jurgita Streimikyte-Virbickiene together with the Lithuania National team flew to EuroBasket Women 2019 qualifiers game in Albania.

Four Kibirkštis players scored in double figures. Shenita Landry posted 14 points and grabbed nine rebounds. Gabija Meskonyte and Laura Jurciute added 11 points each, while Dalia Donskichyte had 10 points.

Kai Afi James reigned under the baskets, finishing the game with 22 points and 10 points before she was fouled out. Anastasiya Sushchyk was huge also – she had 21 points.

Key stats
The Dragons shot the ball better from all positions, especially from the free throw line. They scored 12-of-16 free throws or 75% compared to 46% for the hosts (11/24).

The Belarus champions were more accurate inside and outside the perimeter too, finishing with 35 field goals on 74 attempts. The Sparks replied with 28 field goals on 72 attempts.
