Slovak Extraliga leaders Pieštanske Čajky showed their good form in the EWBL opener and earned a 85-59 win over crossborder rivals SBŠ Ostrava on Thursday, December 17.

Lea Miletič led all scorers with 16 points, including 7-of-12 shooting from the field.
Croatia international added eight rebounds for a game high efficiency rating of 19. With Miletič on the court, the Čajky outscored Ostrava by 28 points.
Danielle Hamilton Carter contributed with 12 points and seven rebounds in just 17 minutes of play.
Matea Tadič joined the parade with 11 points, seven assists and two steals, while Alexandra Haskova connected all five shots from the field to register 10 points.
Nikolina Zubac responded with 14 points and five rebounds.
Pieštanske Čajky posted six consecutive wins in season 2020. They took off where they left and added win number seven with new head coach Lucia Krč-Turbová at the steering wheel.
Six Čajky players scored in double figures – Lea Miletič, Danielle Hamilton Carter, Matea Tadič, Alexandra Haskova, Terezia Palenikova and Vanda Kozakova.
Čajky outscored Ostrava in the point (40-24), posted more second chance points (14-4) and were quicker in fastbreaks (16-4).
