It was the story of the two halves as Horizont outperformed Tsmoki Minsk in the last 20 minutes to post a 82-43 home win on Thursday, December 17.

Anastasiya Verameyenka stepped up her game when needed to finish the “mezhdusoboichik” with eight points, nine rebounds and seven assists for a game high efficiency rating of 22.

Adrienne Webb posted a fine double-double. She had 15 points and 10 rebounds for a efficiency rating of 21.

Yanina Inkina was highly effective inside the three point line and contributed with 14 points.

Britney Jones led the Dragons with 17 points, while young point guard Irina Venskaya chipped in with eight points and four assists.

 

Key stats

Tsmoki Minsk defended well throughout the first half and forced 10 turnovers, while turned the ball over just five times.

Horizont`s impressive front court controlled the paint and scored at will to secure a eight point lead at half 38-30.

Tsmoki Minsk struggled in shooting especially in the second half. The guests made just 23 percent of their field goals (16/69) compared to 50 percent for Horizont (29/58).

Horizont won the second half 44-13.
